Rosa Foundation teamed up with Aunt E’s CHARITY Network to teach youth (all ages) culinary best practices. Under the guidance of a professional chef, students learned kitchen fundamentals, techniques, and safety while learning to prepare healthy meals. There were additional instructions about STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and hydroponic (vertical) gardening. Financial literacy classes provided instruction on money management, budgeting, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
All classes were held at Aunt E’s Southern Cuisine restaurant, located at 2618 Lawndale Drive in Greensboro. Culinary classes were held Monday evenings. Financial literacy and entrepreneurship classes were held Wednesday evenings.
